Anne-
She also worked with Cornerstone Development, a Ugandan aid organization for disadvantaged children and young people. This resulted in Anne Hecker's passion for abandoned babies, street children, and orphans.
Anne developed friendships with various organizations that work with street children and orphans. Since small children have to leave the baby orphanages at the age of 3, Anne developed a vision to build a children's home for children 3 years and older.
In over 23 years, Ms. Hecker has been able to gain local experience: she understands the Ugandan culture and can train her staff in housekeeping and child care.
She has a master's degree in home economics. She has also completed courses in child psychology, non-
Thanks to the good network she has built over 23 years, Anne Hecker has contacts with mental health professionals to find solutions to difficult situations. She is also happy to pass on her experiences to others and is a mentor for young people.
Through her cheerfulness and creativity, she has been able to help many children and young people regain hope despite difficult living conditions.
Anne Hecker herself had to go through many traumatic experiences in her life. However, her faith in Jesus Christ helped her not to lose courage, forgive, and receive new hope.
Anne's greatest role models are Jesus Christ and Mother Teresa. It is, therefore, not surprising that she wants every child and every employee in the children's home to experience God's great love and healing of the heart.
Uganda:
The Pearl of Africa-
In the heart of Africa lies Uganda, a land of breathtaking beauty with lush hills, flowing rivers, and wildlife roaming freely. Yet beyond this magnificent landscape, there are children whose lives are far from the safety and joy that every child deserves. Some wake each day without a loving home. Others carry the weight of hardships too heavy for their young shoulders. Their laughter is quieted by fear, uncertainty, and the struggle to survive.
But hope is not lost. Child homes offer more than shelter. They provide warmth, love, and a place where dreams can take root. Here, children find arms that hold them, voices that guide them, and hearts that believe in their potential. Each story of care, each smile nurtured, becomes a seed of possibility, helping them to grow into confident, capable, and hopeful adults.
By supporting these children, you become part of their journey. You give them more than protection. You give them a future filled with promise. Every contribution helps turn fear into courage, loneliness into friendship, and despair into hope. Together, we can ensure that every child in Uganda not only survives, but thrives, discovering the beauty of life that they so richly deserve.
